About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Learning Support Assistant to join our Additional Learning Support Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide in and out of class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and literacy and numeracy support to students as needed
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and reviewing of learning in conjunction with relevant curriculum staff
  • Provide feedback and carry out reviews to ensure students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes
  • Support students in developing their own coping strategies and dealing with challenging behaviour
Requirements
  • Personal skills and experience to effectively support students with challenging behaviour
  • Experience supporting students in an educational setting and knowledge of SEND, ALS, and EHCPs
  • Maths and English L2/C grade or working towards
