Position Overview: Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in London. This role involves executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), addressing reactive maintenance needs, managing small-scale projects, and responding to help desk inquiries, all in alignment with client and JLL standards. The technician will also oversee the operational functionality of the building and issue permits for specialized contractors while ensuring proper isolation procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and urgent repairs of electrical systems, fire safety equipment, and mechanical services.
  • Collaborate with administrative personnel to ensure timely completion of PPM and reactive tasks.
  • Document all engineering activities and incidents for reporting to the Shift Leader.
  • Ensure all PPM tasks are executed within established service level agreements (SLAs), adhering to engineering standards and local regulations to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and uphold specific standards of excellence.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all work activities and ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all maintenance requests and help desk inquiries.
  • Coordinate with visiting subcontractors and review engineering reports with the Shift Leader.
  • Foster positive working relationships with all building occupants and respond constructively to requests and instructions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completion of an Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship.
  • Proficient understanding of critical business assets, including UPS systems, emergency power generation, HVAC systems, and fire safety protocols.
  • Certification from recognized health and safety training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in the electrical and mechanical maintenance of commercial properties.
  • Familiarity with building management system (BMS) controls and their operational implications.
  • Proven track record in a similar role, showcasing excellence in technical performance.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • A proactive and positive approach to work.
