Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and adept Analyst to spearhead data management and reporting initiatives within the GOSH Learning Academy, where education and training are central to our mission, influencing every aspect of the patient experience.

Collaborating closely with the Associate Director of Business Operations, Head of Business Operations, educators, and information teams, you will take charge of designing data collection methodologies and tools, ensuring data accuracy, and overseeing data integration into our data warehouse. You will also be responsible for creating dashboards and reports that assess the effectiveness of GLA education and training programs.

A degree or equivalent qualification is essential, along with substantial experience in an analytical capacity and exceptional communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will thrive in a dynamic environment. Experience in educational or healthcare contexts will be advantageous, as will skills in people management and project oversight.

There will be opportunities for flexible remote work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

This role encompasses the design of data collection methods and tools, ensuring data quality, managing data flows into the Trust's data warehouse and business intelligence platform (Qlik Sense), and synthesizing complex datasets to evaluate the impact of GLA education and training activities within the Trust and the broader healthcare environment. The Lead Performance & Business Analyst will supervise the GLA's Information Analyst and oversee the creation of GLA dashboards for both clinical and non-clinical audiences.

Performance Management

  • Implement the GLA Performance Framework, collaborating with GLA education teams on any modifications to KPIs.
  • Lead the GLA's performance reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for both internal and external submissions.
  • Assist the GLA Operational Manager and senior managers with performance-related projects and tasks.

Information Analysis and Business Intelligence

  • Collaborate with Information Services and ICT teams to develop technical specifications for data warehousing, dashboards, and reports.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of dashboards, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Work with GLA teams to guarantee robust and efficient data collection processes.
  • Conduct analyses of complex or multiple datasets to address strategic and operational inquiries from GLA teams.
  • Proactively support information provision and share specialized knowledge, advice, and guidance on analytical matters across the GLA.
