About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Building Services expert to join our team at AtkinsRéalis as a Technical Director for Building Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our technical capability and drive excellence in building services, sustainability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own technical responsibility for project quality, design standards, and delivery processes.
  • Provide technical support to clients in a wide range of areas, including mechanical building services design and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of UK Government policy and other industry initiatives that relate to building services.
  • Represent the company as a Subject Matter Expert on Mechanical Building Services.
  • Generate good working relationships with internal and external clients and develop a client relationship management strategy.
  • Take responsibility for key client management of specific clients.
  • Provide management, motivation, inspiration, and technical leadership for the Building Services team engaged on projects.

Requirements

  • Degree, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering and Chartered with a relevant institution.
  • Ability to influence senior management and peers within the industry and positively challenge decisions and processes.
  • Significant experience in the concepts, theories, detailed design, and practicalities of Mechanical Building Services design and compliance requirements.
  • Extensive project experience, necessitating high levels of technical competence with a strong focus and track record of the delivery of designs and processes.
  • Demonstrable leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire a team.
  • Good commercial awareness, business management skills, and results orientation.
  • Customer-focused with a high level of relationship management skills.
  • Confident ability with good communication skills and a professional approach to clients and other AtkinsRéalis employees.
