Job Title: Medical Physics Technologist/Radiographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Physics Technologist/Radiographer to join our team at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position within our DEXA team, where you will be responsible for performing bone densitometry scans for the diagnosis of osteoporosis and monitoring of treatment.

You will work with a team of experienced professionals to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform DEXA scans and analyze bone densitometry studies for the diagnosis of osteoporosis and monitoring of treatment.
  • Work with patients, preferably within an imaging context, to provide excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement new imaging protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant subject, such as medical physics or radiography.
  • Experience working with patients, preferably within an imaging context.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to undertake a formal training program to become proficient in DEXA scanning.
