Fire Door Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Fire Door Surveyor to join our team in Birmingham, covering the West Midlands area. As a key member of our fire protection team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance in fire door and compartmentation inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough fire door and compartmentation inspections to identify areas for correction
  • Record findings on compliance software and provide detailed reports
  • Manage appointments and provide technical advice to clients and tenants
  • Assist Contracts and Operations Managers as needed
What We Offer:
  • A competitive hourly rate of £26, plus a vehicle and fuel card
  • The opportunity to transition to a permanent contract after 3 months, with a salary of £38,000 per year
  • Professional development opportunities, including training in Level 2 ASFP, IFE, FIRAS Supervisor, and BM TRADA
Requirements:
  • Good technical knowledge of fire doors and compartmentation/fire stopping
  • Experience working in the social housing sector
  • Ability to liaise with clients and tenants
  • NVQ or equivalent in carpentry or passive fire protection
  • Experience with compliance recording software, such as One Trace or Bolster
  • Good IT skills, including MS Excel
  • Basic DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
