About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Engineer to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of complex projects across the airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction management resources, develop their skills, and maintain quality standards.
  • Deliver regular site safety engagement to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
  • Review contractor CDM and quality submittals for compliance.
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineering colleagues to ensure all works are installed to plan.
Requirements
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Building Services, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in significant mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating projects.
  • Understanding of the importance of controlling and managing the project close-out and handover process.
  • Experience as a Senior Field Engineer or Section Engineer managing complex multi-year and £multi-million projects.
  • Experience leading small teams.
  • Understanding of handover and closeout of projects.
  • Experience in addressing HSE issues associated with construction.
  • Understanding and knowledge of quality management.
