Lead Construction Manager

Location: Okehampton, Devon

Type: Permanent

Sphere Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Lead Construction Manager to join a prestigious residential development firm. This role is pivotal in overseeing a construction site in Okehampton, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in managing housing projects, particularly with a focus on NHBC standards and traditional construction techniques. You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the production of all housing units.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
  • Managing subcontractors and site personnel effectively.

You will lead a dedicated site team, which includes an Assistant Site Manager and essential support staff. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Qualifications:

  • A proven track record in residential construction management.
  • In-depth knowledge of both traditional and modern building methods.
  • Strong understanding of current health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the local supply chain is highly advantageous.

Required certifications include SMSTS, CSCS, and FAW. Candidates with both academic qualifications and practical trade experience will be considered.

Compensation:
In return for your expertise, a competitive salary of approximately £72,000 is offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a company vehicle or car allowance, pension scheme, private medical insurance, life assurance, and a performance-related bonus.
