About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Pertemps Scotland. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients in the aerospace, defence, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop forgings, tools, and dies to meet customer requirements and within the company's capabilities.
  • Documentation and Communication: Produce all necessary drawings and documentation to support design and development, and recommend and implement system modifications as needed.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of design and development projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize 3D CAD software (preferably Creo) and Forge Simulation to design and develop complex components.
  • Metallurgy and Materials: Have a strong understanding of metals and basic metallurgy principles, and be able to apply this knowledge to design and development projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience in a design and development role within an engineering business.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software, Forge Simulation, and metallurgy principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
