We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MOT Vehicle Technician to join our team at TQR. As a key member of our skilled team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of vehicle inspections and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations, ensuring all vehicles meet the necessary safety and environmental standards.
- Diagnose and repair vehicles as needed following MOT tests, addressing any issues identified during inspections.
- Perform general vehicle servicing and repairs, including brakes, exhausts, suspension, and other mechanical systems.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to assess and resolve vehicle issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including MOT test results and any corrective actions taken.
- Provide clear and professional advice to customers on necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped workshop.
Requirements:
- Qualified MOT Tester with a valid MOT testing license (Class 4 and 7 preferred).
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, with strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and MOT testing procedures.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver's license.
Candidates shortlisted will be required to participate in a trial morning to demonstrate their capabilities.
The role is contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:30, with the option to work an extra Saturday.
