We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Specialist Dietitian Critical Care to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dietetic team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nutrition support to patients in critical care and cardiothoracic critical care units.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic dietitian to take on a leadership role in our critical care dietetic service. You will be responsible for supervising and training junior staff, as well as line managing band 6 and band 5 dietitians. Your clinical caseload will include level 2 and 3 critical care patients requiring parenteral and enteral nutrition.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nutrition support to patients in critical care and cardiothoracic critical care units
- Supervise and train junior staff, including band 6 and band 5 dietitians
- Line manage a team of dietitians and provide leadership and guidance
- Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients in critical care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
We are looking for a dietitian with:
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Minimum five years' experience in dietetics, including experience in critical care
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations
