As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive 1st and 2nd line support for all IT and Audio Visual systems, software, and services. Your role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of the IT Delivery & Operations Service Desk.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1st and 2nd line support for IT and AV equipment, software, and services.
- Assisting with Assistive Technology guidance and support.
- Managing the IT Service Desk operations.
- Supporting AV Service Desk functions.
- Overseeing laptop loans for staff and events.
- Facilitating IT/AV support for general teaching areas and devices.
- Deploying standard end-user computing devices.
- Conducting proactive maintenance and replacement of AV equipment.
- Supporting hybrid events and teaching.
- Engaging in building project consultancy.
- Providing support for university events.
Technology Stack:
Familiarity with tools such as Topdesk, Nagios, BeyondTrust Remote Support, JISC Online Surveys, Clearpass, BluCat network asset management, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Microsoft Teams, Panopto, M365, and various audio management systems is essential.
This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of service delivery and ensuring user satisfaction across all supported platforms.
