Job Summary

The Data Migration Lead will play a key role in the delivery of a 12-month project to update our case management system, migrating all our data onto a new platform. As a Data Migration Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the data migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Migration Planning: Develop a detailed plan for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from the old system to the new case management system.
  • Data Quality Management: Ensure that the data being migrated is clean, accurate, and complete. Implement validation and verification processes.
  • Collaboration with Other Teams: Work closely with IT, business analysts, and test teams to ensure that data migration aligns with the new system's requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the data migration process, such as data loss or corruption, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Execution of Data Migration: Oversee the actual migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Post-Migration Validation: Conduct post-migration audits and checks to ensure that all data has been correctly transferred and is functioning as expected in the new system.
