Position Overview

A skilled CNC Machinist is needed to operate advanced CNC machinery in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary of £27,560 with a structured working schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are organized as follows:

  • Week 1: Monday – Friday 6am-2pm
  • Week 2: Monday – Wednesday 2pm-12pm, Thursday 2pm-11.30pm, with Fridays off

Compensation includes a base rate of £13.33 per hour plus a £15 daily shift premium for afternoon shifts. The benefits package includes:

  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with long service
  • Holiday sell-back option of up to 5 days per annum
  • Company Sick Pay after one year of service
  • Life insurance equivalent to 2x annual salary
  • Annual attendance bonus for eligible employees
  • £500 Employee Referral Scheme (subject to tax & NI)

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Operate Eumach, Hartford, and Haas CNC machines
  • Verify parts meet customer specifications using precision instruments such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
  • Conduct daily maintenance checks on CNC equipment
  • Utilize fork trucks and jib cranes as necessary
  • Complete daily productivity documentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a similar manufacturing role
  • Understanding of production environments and processes
  • Ability to perform manual lifting of up to 20kgs
  • Effective communication skills across all levels
  • Basic mathematical proficiency
