Procurement and Supply Chain Leader

MacTaggart Scott is seeking an experienced and driven Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Procurement and Supply Chain function, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy: Support the development and implementation of our Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy, ensuring alignment with our corporate goals.
- Contract and Supplier Management: Manage contracts and suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of procurement and supply chain activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, driving enhanced material supply solutions and cost savings.
- Supply Chain Risk Management: Maintain a strong understanding of supply chain risks and opportunities, analyzing and mitigating risks to ensure business continuity.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure optimal terms and conditions, minimizing risk to MacTaggart Scott.
- Supplier Performance Management: Manage and drive visibility of supplier performance metrics and management/improvement plans with relevant suppliers.
- Commodity Knowledge and Support: Provide commodity knowledge and support to staff across a range of commodity areas, including raw material sourcing and forgings.
- Outsourced Process Management: Implement and coordinate a strategic approach to outsourced process management, ensuring capacity and capability are available to support operational needs.
- Education: Degree in a business, procurement, or related field, or CIPS level 4.
- Experience: Previous experience in line management, contract and supplier management, and negotiation of contract terms.
- Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, effective communication skills, and previous experience in use of ERP systems.
- Competencies: Competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, and ability to work positively and collaboratively with the wider stakeholder community.
