Overview:
Our esteemed client is seeking a dedicated Surface Finishing Technician to join their team in a permanent capacity.


Position:
Skilled and Semi-skilled Surface Finishing Technician - Permanent role


Compensation:
Starting from £25,627 plus additional shift allowances


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week


Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a proven capability to comprehend and interpret standard operating procedures, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Execute component surface stripping, preparation, masking, and electroplating processes, including cadmium, hard chromium, and nickel plating.


• Adhere to responsibilities associated with the COMAH emergency plan and fulfill all necessary requirements for its effective implementation.


• Exhibit flexibility in working hours, including the potential for overtime as required.


• Engage with various chemicals as part of the job responsibilities.


• Operate overhead cranes (training provided on-site).


• Understand and apply manual handling principles effectively.


• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S standards.


• Handle heavy aircraft components as part of the role.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a JAA 145 and/or 14 CFR part 145 environment is advantageous, though training will be provided.
