Job Title: Director, Data Quality

HM Treasury is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Director, Data Quality. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the UK government, shaping the country's economic and financial policies.

About the Role

The Director, Data Quality will be responsible for leading our team in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of our data. This will involve working closely with our policy teams, analysts, and other stakeholders to identify and address data quality issues, develop and implement data governance policies, and provide training and support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of data quality policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with policy teams and analysts to identify and address data quality issues
  • Develop and deliver training programs to improve data quality awareness and skills
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure data quality is integrated into all aspects of our work
  • Provide expert advice on data quality to senior leaders and policymakers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in data quality management, preferably in a government or public sector organization
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex data quality issues
  • Knowledge of data governance policies and procedures, and experience in developing and implementing data quality frameworks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
