Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer - Embedded Systems Integration and Diagnostics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Expleo Group. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-voltage EV embedded system integration solutions and their application into the vehicle platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from our client's facility in the UK, working at base site for 37 hours per week.
  • Deliver high-voltage EV embedded system integration solutions and their application into the vehicle platform, meeting project/program objectives while managing planning, milestones, and KPIs.
  • Lead work with stakeholders to develop HV integration and test strategy to have the right artefacts needed for system validation on bench and in vehicle derived from requirements.
  • Understand component and system level HV technical architecture and their integration to the whole vehicle platform, including BMS, charging systems, motor, and inverter, BTMS.
  • Support product development and production issues with practical and robust problem-solving methodologies and communicating with suppliers, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Become the recognized vehicle platform system owner for various embedded systems/ECUs/features.
  • Stakeholder in the development of improving functional and systems testing and reporting solutions.
  • Be responsible for the workflow of introducing embedded system engineering changes into production time scales.
  • Work with industry-standard vehicle CAN and diagnostic applications and parameter/programming data for HV systems.
  • Perform design analysis tasks, including using D-FMEAs and Six Sigma techniques.
  • Work within a V-cycle development process using requirements management.

Requirements:

  • Practical proven experience and working knowledge of HV both component and systems level engineering - ideally from an automotive or related industry.
  • Experience of vehicle HV systems applications on EVs and a relevant degree is essential.
  • Significant experience of delivering/managing EV integration solutions involving ECUs and software/hardware/electronics systems projects with a demonstrable ability of achieving objectives both individually and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and tools, e.g., CAN, J1939 LIN, IP, Vector tools.
  • Detailed experience of the integration of BMS, traction motor, and inverter technologies and an appreciation of battery technology, configuration, and charging/discharging.
  • Detailed experience of creating and managing technical specifications and managing projects from concept to completion.
  • Knowledge of functional safety, cyber security, and IATF processes.
  • Unafraid to challenge the status quo, constantly improving the way we do things, and a desire to have a real impact and direction in a growing team.
  • Relationship building will come easily to you with the confidence to communicate with a variety of different stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
