Job Summary:

Imperial College London is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join the Analytics & Operations group at the Imperial College Business School as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Analytics and Operations.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a broad range of research within Analytics & Operations, directing, leading, or contributing to a research area at the highest scientifically rigorous levels, and disseminating findings in peer-reviewed journals and through participation in national and international conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead research projects in Analytics & Operations, with a focus on Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Operations Management, and Information Science/MIS.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor research staff and students at the highest scientifically rigorous levels.
  • Contribute to the development of the Analytics & Operations group's research agenda and pipeline.
  • Teach and examine courses at all levels, including undergraduate, masters, and higher research degrees.
  • Plan and review own approach to teaching, and contribute to curriculum development at College and broader levels.
  • Participate in the business planning and objective setting process for the academic team and the department.
  • Build and establish links between the department and colleagues in other parts of the Business School and wider College.
  • Represent the Department, the Business School, and College at external meetings, as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Business, Management, Computer Science, Operations Research/Management, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • Strong research agenda and pipeline, with a focus on Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Operations Management, and Information Science/MIS.
  • Experience in teaching in areas relevant to the department.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to demonstrate capability for high-quality innovative research.
