Opportunity for a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our team at Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, Scotland.

About the Role

This is a permanent post, working 40 hours per week, with a salary of £96,963 - £128,841 per annum, plus a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,279 and up to £8,000 relocation expenses.

As a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with mental health issues, working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.

About the Location

The Western Isles are a unique and beautiful location, offering a relaxed pace of life, stunning landscapes, and a strong sense of community. The islands are steeped in history and culture, with a strong Hebridean identity.

As a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry, you will have the opportunity to work in a modern 97-bed Rural General Hospital, with a supportive team and a chance to develop your skills and confidence.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be on the GMC Specialist Register, with License to Practice, or be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the date of interview.
