Position Title: Senior Finance Manager - Reporting & Control

Salary: £85,000 - £105,000 + Bonus
Work Arrangement: 2/3 days per week in the office
Overview:
The Senior Finance Manager will spearhead the Financial Accounting and Reporting division for the UK team, playing a pivotal role in the ongoing transformation of the Finance function.
This newly established role will supervise the financial accounting and reporting team, which includes finance managers and analysts dedicated to supporting the UK business, the largest international segment of the US publicly traded parent company. The position will also serve as a vital collaborator with both the local FP&A and Global Controllership and accounting teams based in the US.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a dynamic organization, driving process enhancements while fostering a fun and inclusive environment among a diverse team of qualified and non-qualified finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the UK Accounting team, enhancing the financial reporting close cycles to ensure accurate and timely financial disclosures.
- Collaborate with Global Controllership and the UK Financial Controller to transition the current accounting team operating model.
- Act as the primary contact for all UK accounting matters, US-GAAP reporting to the parent company, and independent financial reporting.
- Guarantee the production of precise and timely balance sheet account reconciliations while managing associated risks and opportunities.
- Maintain and enhance the existing financial control environment, working closely with the Global Controllership team to ensure effective SOX controls are in place.
- Oversee the delivery of all external statutory and regulatory reporting processes, including Tax and VAT.
- Drive continuous improvements in processes to ensure timely and accurate information, focusing on enhancing the quality of financial data and the appropriateness of procedures and systems.
- Collaborate with the UK FP&A team to ensure financial performance and variances are thoroughly understood.
- Engage with other teams and departments to uphold the integrity of accounting controls, processes, and procedures.
- Manage relationships with local external auditors and lead the UK segment of all financial audits, including Internal, External, and Statutory Audits.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years PQE in a UK-recognized accounting qualification.
- Experience within a Regional Accounting team in an international or public company setting.
- Highly driven, self-sufficient, and an independent thinker with a proven track record in team building and transforming accounting operations.
- Experience in reporting under both UK and US GAAP.
Proficient in PC skills and financial applications (Excel, Word, Hyperion, NetSuite).
Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment and adapt to new situations:
