Job Title: Molecular Biologist - Genome Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Biologist to join our team at the Mary Lyon Centre, MRC Harwell. As a Genome Engineering Specialist, you will play a key role in designing and validating genome-edited mouse models, working closely with our genome editing and engineering service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and validate genome-edited mouse models using advanced molecular biology techniques
  • Liaise with genome editing and engineering service users to ensure high-quality results
  • Collaborate with our Molecular and Cellular Biology team to coordinate molecular biology tasks and develop new technologies
  • Review data and production processes to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Design new engineered alleles and develop genotyping assays
Requirements:
  • PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent, with a strong background in molecular biology
  • Experience in genome editing and gene targeting, with a focus on mouse genome engineering
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
