Section Engineer Opportunity at Laing O'Rourke

We are seeking a skilled Section Engineer to join our team on a major infrastructure project in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the development of designs, planning, and costing for reinforced concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of designs, planning, and costing for reinforced concrete structures.
  • Draft scopes under NRSWA for the mitigation, including coordination of subcontractors and agreeing the works.
  • Coordinate site and construction works, including logistic and programme planning.
  • Provide accurate dimensional control and check established by others to enable the works to be constructed to the required tolerances as defined by the Contract/design documents.
  • Assist site foremen and managers in supervising site operatives and sub-contractors to ensure the works are constructed in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and standards as defined by the contract documents.
  • Produce method statements and risk assessments to be approved by supervising engineers/managers and ensure site operations take place in accordance with documents detailing safe systems of work.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years' experience within an engineering role.
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
