Care Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team at a medium-sized care home in Bolsover. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical and mental wellbeing, and supporting their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily life and personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support residents with their physical and mental wellbeing, including engaging in activities to promote a high quality of life.
- Provide company and emotional support to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
- Undertake moving and handling duties, including the use of hoists and other equipment.
As a Care Assistant, you will work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. You will be required to work 07:00 to 14:15 or 14:00 to 22:00 on days throughout the week.
Pay and BenefitsWe offer a competitive hourly rate of £11.44 for hours worked between 07:00 to 19:00 and £15.22 for hours worked between 19:00 to 07:00. You will also receive a range of benefits, including enhanced unsociable hours pay and the opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment.
Requirements- 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer.
- In-date mandatory training certificates, including Practical moving and handling training.
- An enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the update service.
- A minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience working within a care home or nursing home setting.
- A full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history.
