Our client, a leading player in the DeFi and CeFi quantitative systematic crypto trading space, is seeking a skilled DeFi Engineer to join their team. As a well-established and well-capitalized business, they have recently expanded their front office team of Quants and Traders, and are now looking to expand their DeFi Engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in DeFi, a solid understanding of MEV-related trading, and the ability to interact with a blockchain programmatically. They will be responsible for collaborating closely with the Quant Trading Team and other engineers throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final delivery.
The role will involve both on-chain and off-chain coding, focusing on building secure and high-performance systems. The successful candidate will design and develop robust, scalable software for on-chain systematic trading, maintain and enhance off-chain applications that support pricing, order management, real-time risk, and monitoring, and stay updated with developments in DeFi to identify short-term opportunities and shape our long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Quant Trading Team and other engineers to design and develop secure and high-performance systems for on-chain systematic trading.
- Develop robust, scalable software for on-chain systematic trading, including pricing, order management, real-time risk, and monitoring.
- Maintain and enhance off-chain applications that support pricing, order management, real-time risk, and monitoring.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in DeFi to identify short-term opportunities and shape our long-term strategy.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience writing production quality code in an object-oriented language.
- Demonstrable experience of interacting with blockchain nodes from a programmatic perspective.
- A familiarity/awareness of DEXs, protocol mechanics, blockchain fundamentals, and smart contract security.
