Acquisitions Consultant

Join our dynamic Property department in Doncaster and play a critical role in growing our market share as a talented Acquisition team member. You will be responsible for the expansion and management of our current portfolio, involved in the full acquisition cycle from initial planning through to ongoing asset management. Develop relationships with key third parties, such as landlords and developers, and drive the full development and planning processes from concept to completion. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are crucial, as is the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. You will receive full support and training from the Regional Head of Property and other members of the Property Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores with support from the Regional Head of Property or Senior Acquisitions Consultant
  • Undertake site inspections, development appraisals, manage site, legal, and planning due diligence on all opportunities with support from the Regional Head of Property or Senior Acquisitions Consultant
  • Manage planning applications from original submission through to consent and discharge of conditions with support from the Property Team
  • Assist all expansion, relocation, and improvement projects to our current infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
  • Drive the full development and planning process from initial concept to final completion with regular support from the Regional Head of Property
  • Real estate management of our freehold and leasehold assets
Requirements:
  • Degree-level educated or comparable qualification (2:2 minimum) ideally in a relevant discipline
  • Ideally, working towards or recently qualified MRICS preferably with experience in acquisitions and planning
  • Experience working in retail acquisitions is preferable
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A highly analytical mind
  • The ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • A full driving licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the UK
