About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Developer/Technologist to join our growing team at Tagged Resources Limited. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our suppliers to bring tech packs to life, collaborating with our in-house Design and Garment Technology team to realise the designer's vision from concept to first sample stage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the critical path from design brief to product launch, ensuring all areas are engaged in the process.
  • Work with our Garment Technology team to review size specifications and ensure timely comments are provided.
  • Interact frequently with factories and mills through site visits or video calls to drive collaboration and communication.
  • Coordinate daily communication with suppliers regarding samples and new developments, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with the Design and Technical team to ensure samples are checked, approved, and correctly labelled and stored.
  • Liaise with factories to chase lab dips, strike-offs, samples, and other critical submissions, working closely with senior team members.
  • Set up new lines on our system, liaising with Design and Merchandise Managers to ensure accurate information is input.
  • Liaise with factories to update on products and negotiate margins, driving cost savings and efficiency.
  • Manage the sample process, ensuring awareness of costs incurred and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Oversee development costs for sampling, couriers, and other expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Look for cost savings within the department and make recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Develop patterns and drive innovation in product design and development.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Product Developer for a women's brand or retailer.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with factories overseas where English is not the primary language.
  • Comfortable with travel, including international trips when required.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Experience in pricing structure and product costings/negotiation.
  • Commercial acumen and creativity in product development.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Understanding of garment construction and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments and adaptability to evolving business needs.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for the product we design and manufacture.
