We are seeking a skilled Trading Standards Officer to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enforcing consumer protection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate consumer complaints and provide guidance on consumer rights and responsibilities.
  • Liaise with partners and organizations to ensure effective delivery of the Trading Standards Service.
  • Support and train officers to enable them to effectively carry out their duties.
  • Undertake duties required by legislation to be performed by a Weights and Measures Inspector.
  • Manage and lead specialist areas, including monitoring budgets and producing project work action plans.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Trading Standards or equivalent.
  • Qualification to enforce Food Safety Legislation.
  • Qualification to perform the duties of a Weights and Measures Inspector.
  • Experience of working in a TS environment for a period of 12 months.
  • Proven record of working with consumers and businesses to resolve disputes/secure compliance.
