We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a supportive and welcoming mainstream primary school in Camden. The ideal candidate will have experience working with non-verbal students and a passion for transforming lives and leaving a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students with a range of SEN needs, including ASD and non-verbal students
- Working on a 1:1 basis with children and in small groups to achieve their education and development goals
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Providing emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working within a school setting, preferably in a SEN role
- Proven ability to work with non-verbal students and support their educational and personal needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
- Passion for working with children and young people, with a commitment to their education and well-being
