About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled ESG Consultant to join our team at DNV. As a key member of our Markets & Risk department, you will play a critical role in advising and supporting businesses throughout their Energy Transition journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ESG due diligence studies for assets in the Infrastructure, Energy, and Oil and Gas sectors and their supply chains.
  • Create and deliver ESG Strategies and sustainability programmes, including policy and procedures.
  • Perform ESG materiality assessments for companies or portfolio level.
  • Aid the implementation of ESG frameworks and standards, supporting reporting and disclosure of customers.
  • Evaluate ESG performance of companies in the relevant sectors.
  • Provide key research, analysis, and advisory insight and support to our customers.
  • Evaluate stakeholder engagement, social studies, social risk assessment process against international standards.
  • Advise on impacts on Clients from key sustainable regulations.
  • Review and evaluation of Greenhouse Gas Emission inventories, creation of Net Zero strategies, and technology implementation plans.

About You:

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in sustainability and ESG. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the sustainability regulatory landscape and be able to advise Clients on key regulatory impacts.

Requirements:

  • Significant demonstrable sustainability experience (ideally with consultancy experience) gained within the sustainability and ESG space, including decarbonisation, climate risk, community engagement, biodiversity, and policy.
  • Extensive practical knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals, Paris agreement framework, Climate change and energy transition frameworks and standards (GRI, PRI, TCFD, SASB, etc.).
  • Experience in energy assets and industry and general energy market understanding from a sustainability standpoint.
  • Excellent report writing, oral communication, and presentation skills, ability to define and explain complex technical issues and solutions to non-experts.
  • Flexible attitude to working in a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Creative, analytical, and solution-oriented, demonstrating the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and provide recommendations.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and plan and prioritise activities, to deliver against competing/tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lead and manage transaction and advisory projects, including driving report/delivery output quality.
