About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Asbestos Surveyor to join our team at Goodman Masson. As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough asbestos surveys and assessments to identify potential risks and hazards.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate asbestos-related risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Collaborate with our clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on asbestos management and removal procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices in asbestos surveying and management.

Requirements:

  • BOHS P402 qualification.
  • BOHS P405 qualification (D).
  • Degree in a relevant subject (D).
  • CIOB/CIH/RICS equivalent qualification in property surveying (D).
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience of undertaking refurbishment and demolition and management surveys.
  • Domestic dwelling surveying experience from a technical perspective, demonstrating significant understanding of the built environment.
  • Clear and demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety and Asbestos legislation pertaining to the construction industry, including HHSRS.
  • Practical experience of working in the construction industry and/or in the social housing sector (D).
  • Experience of undertaking property surveys working on a similar level within an RSL, local or public authority, or private practice.
  • Full understanding of the Decent Homes Standard as well as the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (D).
