We are looking for a Senior Client Accountant within our Financial Operations division in a global location.

What this job involves

Team Development

  1. Assist the financial operations team leader and manager in the recruitment, training, retention, and motivation of the team to develop commitment and drive high performance.
  2. Support senior management in creating a world-class Financial Operations team, which is considered a 'Centre of Excellence' both internally and externally.

Performance Management

  1. Work with the team leader to ensure there are no backlogs of work.
  2. Take on responsibility for the financial operations for specified portfolios (these are likely to be more high profile or more complex instructions), including financial reporting, account reconciliations, tax compliance, funding reviews, and ensuring client deadlines are met.
  3. Ensure preparation and review of quarterly financial analyses for all financial transactions.
  4. Any other accounting duties necessary to ensure the efficient running of the portfolio.

Maintain Financial Controls

  1. Liaise with all departments to ensure Key Performance Indicators are achieved and aim to exceed expectations.
  2. Effectively manage risk by complying with Company and legislative procedures and controls.
  3. Ensure strong communication links are established and maintained with the financial operations managers and finance team.

Desired skills and experience for this job

  1. Strong Excel skills (including working knowledge of pivot tables & V-Lookup tables).
  2. Must be flexible and able to work under pressure, multi-task, and effectively prioritize.
  3. Several years relevant experience of working in an accounting team.
  4. Previous experience of training/mentoring members of a team.
  5. Working towards a recognized accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) or already qualified.
