Program Overview:
At Caxton Associates, we pride ourselves on fostering top-tier investment talent. Our dedication to professional growth led to the inception of the comprehensive two-year Associate Portfolio Manager (APM) Program in 2012. This initiative serves as an exceptional avenue for high-potential buy-side investors, elite sell-side trading professionals, or distinguished quantitative analysts across a wide range of hedge fund disciplines, including discretionary macro, systematic macro, emerging markets macro, systematic trading, equity long-short, and event-driven strategies.
Training and Development:
The APM Program provides participants with immersive exposure and rigorous training, honing their investment acumen with the ultimate goal of facilitating their progression to a senior Portfolio Manager role within Caxton. Notably, over a quarter of our current Portfolio Managers, many of whom are among our most esteemed PMs, have advanced through this very program, highlighting its effectiveness.
Candidate Profile:
We are in search of candidates possessing between 3 to 10 years of experience in asset management, hedge funds, or market making. The ideal applicant should demonstrate expertise in, and preferably direct experience with, the proposed investment strategy and associated markets. We value entrepreneurial risk-takers who aspire to develop and expand their investment strategies. The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with various stakeholders is essential, as is a proven capacity for continuous personal and professional growth.
