We are seeking a skilled Aluminium Fabricator to work on aluminium boats. This role involves working on aluminium components, and experience with marine engineering would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to determine the appropriate welding process and procedure.
Equipment Setup: Set up welding equipment and select the proper welding methods based on the type and thickness of the aluminium being welded.
Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by removing any impurities or contaminants.
Welding Operations:
Operate welding equipment such as MIG, welding aluminium components together to meet project specifications.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in marine welding is advantageous.
Physical fitness, capable of working in confined spaces.
Ability to work 12 hours a day in tough conditions.
