About the Role

As a Medical Case Manager at Healix, you will play a pivotal role in addressing the healthcare needs of our diverse patient base worldwide. You will be responsible for conducting routine medical case management activities, offering medical advice and recommendations to patients, and liaising with international medical professionals to obtain crucial medical information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting pre-travel screening assessments and providing pre-travel overseas medical planning advice
  • Assessing and evaluating medical reports and writing referrals to ensure appropriate action is taken to support patients
  • Liaising with international medical professionals to coordinate treatment and make recommendations for care changes or upgrades
  • Arranging medical evacuations and repatriations via commercial carriers with medical escorts or by air ambulance
  • Working collaboratively within own competency providing advice to non-medical staff, and consulting with our in-house doctors to make a clear safe medical plan for patients
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with a current NMC pin
  • Exceptional telephone etiquette and technical proficiency, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases
  • Primary Care / General Medical / Surgical Nursing - adult and/or paediatric
  • Acute Care (ICU/ED/AAU), Cruise Ship Nursing, Military Nursing, Public Health/Travel Health Nursing, Humanitarian/NGO work
