We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our team at St Helen's & Knowsley NHS Trust. As a Band 5 Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing constant monitoring and care for patients in a seriously ill or unstable condition.
  • Actively supporting emergency admissions, planned admissions and post-surgery patients and their families, communicating clinical information using a variety of methods, to ensure effective understanding.
  • Safely identifying, preparing, checking, and assembling equipment required for the relevant operating list.
  • Adhering to the NMC professional Code of Conduct.
  • Taking blood/fitting a cannula and undertaking patient observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate and oxygen level) as patient need dictates throughout the shift.
  • Writing care plans, performing assessments, and making referrals.
  • Organising admissions and discharges to and from the ward.

Requirements:

  • Be a Registered Nurse.
  • At least 2 years post-graduate experience.
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
  • You will need to pass an enhanced background check.
