Job Summary:
Spire Healthcare is seeking a skilled Porter to join our dynamic team at our private hospital. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to our patients and staff, working with minimal supervision to cover a range of duties including courier, portering, theatre, cleaning, and security tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Escort patients safely and efficiently, using your knowledge of the hospital layout to minimize delays.
- Manage the movement of goods, equipment, and waste, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the porting team to ensure seamless delivery of services, including courier and cleaning duties.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, contributing to the growth and success of our team.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff at all levels.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of our patients and services.
- Basic knowledge of hospital procedures and protocols, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, to prioritize tasks and manage your workload effectively.
