About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to join our team at E3 Recruitment. As an Engineering Planner, you will play a critical role in maximizing the performance of our engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shutdown Coordination: Lead the coordination of maintenance shutdowns, establishing best engineering practices to ensure seamless execution.
  • Shift Planning: Control and populate the engineering shift plan for all engineering personnel across all disciplines, including contractors.
  • Scheduling Meetings: Chair weekly scheduling meetings for planned activities to ensure alignment and effective resource allocation.
  • Work Backlog Management: Control, populate, and prioritize a work backlog for all maintenance activities or activities involving the engineering team.
  • CMMS Implementation: Key involvement in the implementation of a new Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and T-card system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Engineering Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Manager, and Operational Managers to provide a schedule of work for shift engineers to maintain and improve the reliability of assets.
  • Communication: Liaise with production, services, and central functions to ensure that routine maintenance is planned, and job requests are executed and costed efficiently and effectively.
  • Equipment Coordination: Ensure that equipment removed from the plant, which is being repaired in-house, is coordinated through the shift plan, Work Orders allocated to the repair of each item, and appropriate cost captured.
  • Record Keeping: Control of accurate records and documentation for all production and auxiliary plant, including insurance records.
  • Contractor Management: Coordinate and site contact for Contractors to ensure safe and controlled activities are completed on-site and to the quality of engineering standards.
Requirements
  • CMMS Experience: Proven experience in CMMS and Maintenance Planning.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to plan resources, and coordinate people effectively.
  • Engineering Training: Engineering Training / Qualifications (NVQ3, HNC).
  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering: Demonstrable Mechanical and Electrical Engineering knowledge.
  • Problem-Solving: Problem-solving tools and techniques to deliver efficiency.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills.
  • Communication: Good Communication techniques.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuous Improvement Approach.
