Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning disabilities in our residential homes and hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Student Learning: Assist students in achieving their full potential by providing individualized support and guidance.
- Manage Student Behaviour: Work collaboratively with the House Team Leaders and Tutors to develop strategies for managing student behaviour and promoting positive relationships.
- Develop Student Skills: Use strategies to promote students' wider skills development, such as communication, self-advocacy, presentation skills, and teamwork.
- Work Collaboratively: Work professionally and collaboratively with the session tutor to develop a positive, constructive, and proactive relationship that benefits the students and contributes significantly to their success.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience in a similar role is desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Education: Level 2 in English and Maths is required. A Level 3 qualification in education or care is desirable.
- Disability Awareness: An understanding of working with people with a disability is desirable.
