This charity works in partnership with businesses, funders, community organizations, and residents to mobilize their resources—time, finances, networks, and influence—for the betterment of the community.
As part of a broader movement in London, the charity emphasizes the importance of place, citizen engagement, and collaboration to foster long-term community improvement.
The Community Grant Program Manager will spearhead a distinctive local giving initiative, engaging diverse groups of contributors, leading impactful campaigns to raise awareness of local needs and causes, and fostering a culture of local philanthropy.
- Strategic Development: Assist in shaping the charity's strategic direction and operational plans, ensuring broad engagement to inform future priorities.
- Giving Model and Outreach: Create a sustainable giving framework with a comprehensive communication strategy, enhance the program's visibility, and ensure effective outreach to key stakeholders through various channels.
- Grant Oversight: Manage giving initiatives, develop equitable grant funding opportunities, and oversee the online platform to boost donor engagement.
- Research and Representation: Conduct needs assessments, establish monitoring and evaluation systems, and represent the program at external events and networks.
- Team Leadership: Supervise two team members, fostering professional development and collaboration.
The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in project or program management, with a strong background in partnerships, business development, and grant distribution.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a deep understanding of at least one of the following areas: volunteer program development, grant oversight, or income generation. Experience in corporate fundraising and securing funds for distribution is highly desirable.
We seek individuals who are committed to the principles of local giving, community involvement, and equity. You should also have robust experience in monitoring and evaluation, showcasing your ability to measure the social impact of initiatives.
With exceptional organizational, managerial, and communication skills, you will effectively lead a team and oversee this critical area of the charity's operations.
