About the Role

Hales Group Limited is seeking a skilled CCTV Operator to join our team on a temporary basis. As a CCTV Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to CCTV footage, airwaves radio systems, and Town link radios. This is an ad-hoc role to cover holiday and other absences initially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Professional CCTV Services: Ensure that the CCTV operation is delivered in a professional and effective way, working with the Police and external partners to help detect, deter, and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
  • Monitor and Interpret CCTV Footage: Monitor, assess, and interpret pictures from CCTV cameras, in accordance with procedures and current legislation.
  • Radio Communication and Assistance: Monitor, respond, and provide assistance for those external partners operating airwave and town link radio communication as the CCTV operator is the radio controller for these services.
  • Maintain Evidence and Records: Maintain evidence and records through correct storage and documentation.
  • Liaise with Emergency Services: Liaise with emergency services and visiting Police Officers. Demonstrate use of CCTV and recording equipment to Police Officers. Use the CCTV cameras to identify offenders and provide high-quality evidence to enable investigations and where necessary prosecutions; if required, provide written witness statements and attend court if necessary.
  • Deal with Footage and Evidence Requests: Deal with footage, evidence, and report requests in a timely manner in accordance with current Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.
  • Personal Information Management: Gathering, updating, and archiving personal information in an accurate but sensitive manner on to a secure database. Any information retained must be GDPR compliant.
  • Customer Service and Promotion: Positively promote our services when receiving enquiries.
  • Liaise with External Partners: When required, liaison with external partners.
  • Support to Control Centre Assistant Manager: Provide support and assistance for the Control Centre Assistant Manager to enable them to produce monthly reports and statistics.
  • Procedural Manual Review and Update: Ensure procedural manuals, impact assessments, and policies are periodically reviewed and updated.
  • Community Alarms Operation: To work closely with colleagues delivering our Community Alarms operation.
Requirements
  • Experience Working with Vulnerable People: Experience of working directly with vulnerable people in housing management or similar environment.
  • CCTV Software System Operation: Experience of operating CCTV software system.
  • External Partner Communication: Experience in dealing with external partners through email, and telephone.
  • Microsoft Office Package and Databases: Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, Team) and data bases.
  • Initiative and Supervision: Ability to work on own initiative with a minimum level of supervision.
  • Stressful and Emotive Situations: Ability to converse with in, stressful and emotive situations whilst remaining polite, and empathetic providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Lone Work and Teamwork: Lone work, but appreciate and deliver team work for colleagues on opposite shift patterns.
  • SIA CCTV Licence: Security Industry Authority (SIA) CCTV Licence.
