Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Teacher to lead our SEMH inclusion unit. As the lead teacher of the resource base, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the SEMH needs of our students.
Main Responsibilities:- Plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons that meet the individual needs of students
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students' diverse learning styles
- Liaise with SENDCo, Senior Leadership Team, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support
- Prepare and develop learning resources to enhance student engagement
- Support and develop the skills of SEND teaching assistants
- Write progress reports for individual pupils and provide regular feedback to parents/carers
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Additional SEND qualifications
- Prior experience in a specialist provision
