Job Opportunity: Sheet Metal Mechanic

M&E Global Resources is a leading defence contractor providing services on complex military equipment and aircraft for UK and US contractors. We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team in Illesheim, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to determine cause of malfunctions and perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements as needed.
  • Assemble structural parts and components to meet requirements, using jigs, fixtures, forms, and mouldings.
  • Perform structural repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment to maintain structural integrity.
  • Use metalworking equipment and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts.
  • Incorporate authorised modifications and changes, and maintain and inspect tools and equipment.
  • Assess damage to aircraft structural components and check repairs for serviceability according to specifications and technical publications.
  • Treat corrosion using mechanical and chemical procedures, and store, handle, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards.
  • Post entries and maintain maintenance and inspection records, and input, validate, and analyse data processed to automated systems.
  • Recommend methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures, and prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
