Science Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join our team at a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science to KS3 to KS4 classes, with the possibility of teaching KS5 classes depending on availability and specialism.

The school is looking for a Science Teacher who can commit to a full-time work pattern and long-term temp to perm booking.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Science education and be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons to students.

The rates of pay for this Science Teacher position will range from £180 to £270 a day, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the School

The school is a free school created from a former University Technical College and is rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

The school specializes in Construction and Engineering and is the only local provider of courses with access to these opportunities.

The pupil intake is for boys and girls, aged 11 to 19 years old.

The curriculum is structured to provide a broad and rich variety of pathways for pupils, with a wide range of enrichment and extracurricular activities available.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or overseas equivalent
  • Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
  • Experience as a Science Teacher in UK schools
