Reliability Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse, using advanced tools and techniques to maximize equipment effectiveness.
- Uphold all health and safety policies and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their roles.
- Work on continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and implement best practices across our EU sites.
As an RME Technician, you will be based on-site, responding quickly to any machinery issues that arise. Your day will be filled with a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks, as well as responding to breakdowns and implementing solutions to get equipment back up and running as soon as possible.
You will work closely with senior colleagues, undertaking day-to-day maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing, and liaising with contractors when external expertise is required. You will also work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock, allowing Amazon to deliver at the speed we're known for.
About the TeamOur RME team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. Some of our team members are leaders, overseeing the team as they work on exciting technology – some of which only exists at Amazon.
We handle most aspects of Amazon's technical side, including installing automated packaging systems, overseeing the general maintenance of a site, and repairing key distribution equipment. This includes keeping buildings legally compliant, so everyone is safe, and our sites are operating at maximum efficiency. There are lots of opportunities for progression, both within the RME team and more widely across Amazon.
Requirements- Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City & Guilds Level 3, SVQ/IVQ).
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer.
- Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
