Position Overview

A distinguished Community Drug and Alcohol Misuse Charity is seeking a Senior Nurse specializing in Substance Misuse to become part of their dedicated Substance Misuse Clinic. This role is based in Lewisham, South East London, and presents a remarkable opportunity for an RGN or RMN who is committed to the treatment of Substance Misuse.
The appointed Senior Nurse will operate within a dynamic detoxification environment, concentrating on delivering essential clinical support to clients, which includes a comprehensive rehabilitation journey.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with vaccinations, including BBV screening and Hepatitis B/C screening
  • Proficiency in conducting ECGs
  • Knowledge of alcohol and opiate detoxification processes
  • Expertise in Health Promotion and Rehabilitation strategies
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with relevant clinical experience
  • Proven interest or experience in addiction treatment
  • Experience in titration is highly advantageous
  • Current and valid NMC registration and legal eligibility to work in the UK
While prior experience in addiction services is not mandatory, candidates must exhibit a genuine interest in this nursing specialty and demonstrate how they have acquired relevant skills and knowledge in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services.
