Become a Key Player at Freudenberg: Where Innovation Drives Success
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate purchase orders for essential materials based on ERP system requirements.
- Solicit quotations from suppliers and engage in negotiations regarding pricing and delivery timelines as necessary.
- Spot opportunities for enhancements in procurement and material management to boost efficiency and inventory control.
- Support departmental goals and initiatives actively.
- Provide valuable insights during production meetings to guarantee material readiness for manufacturing demands.
- Effectively oversee the sourcing process and manage ERP transactions.
- Maximize the use of ERP systems to improve internal processes and reduce costs.
- Engage in business reviews to fulfill both supplier and internal expectations.
- Assist with material pricing inquiries and other related departmental activities.
- Approach daily challenges with a proactive mindset.
- Be prepared to extend working hours when required.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing context.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and ERP platforms.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities in a manufacturing setting.
- Capability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes; engineering experience is a plus.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Customer-oriented with a solid grasp of customer requirements.
- Proactive, systematic, and results-oriented approach.
- CIPS membership is preferred.
- GCSE-level education, including Mathematics and English at grades A - C.
- Familiarity with the company’s products and market landscape is beneficial.
