VINCI Building UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of complex building projects up to £30m. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing diverse teams, ensuring high standards of health and safety, and mentoring the development of apprentices and less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management
- Develop and maintain overall project strategy
- Ensure construction activities move according to predetermined schedule
- Monitor progress and hold regular status meetings with sub-teams
- Team Leadership
- Lead from the front, demonstrating a strong H&S ethos
- Mentor and develop apprentices and less experienced staff
- Financial Management
- Take full ownership of project finances, working closely with the commercial team
- Complete and deliver monthly CVRs and chair client meetings
- Communication
- Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and end-users
- Resolve queries and complaints, and develop relationships for future winning work
- Proven track record of delivering building projects up to £30m
- Strong H&S ethos and ability to lead by example
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to mentor and develop apprentices and less experienced staff
- Strong financial management skills, with experience of managing project finances
