Position Overview
Our ambition is to emerge as the foremost asset management entity, assisting our clients in maximizing the performance and value of their physical assets throughout the entire lifecycle—from planning and creation to maintenance, operation, and eventual disposal. We integrate our digital, engineering, data analytics, and consultancy expertise from our global teams to provide sustainable and predictive asset management solutions for asset-intensive organizations, facilitating operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making in a dynamic environment.
We are excited to present an opportunity for a Principal Asset Management Consultant to become part of our Infrastructure Asset Management team. In this role, you will contribute to the execution of our asset management strategy in the UK, lead various consultancy projects, and assist in crafting value propositions across our rail, highways, and aviation sectors. Additionally, you will extend support to our broader asset management consulting and advisory services through our global business areas, including Mobility, Resilience, and Places.
You will play a pivotal role within the Mobility division of Arcadis, reporting directly to the Head of Highways Asset Management. Your contributions will be essential in expanding the business and identifying new opportunities. This newly formed team consolidates our robust asset management capabilities into a cohesive offering, primarily focusing on the highways sector while also providing opportunities to engage with rail, aviation, and ports. Key Responsibilities
- Utilizing your asset management process expertise to ensure the timely delivery of projects, adhering to quality and budgetary constraints while striving to surpass client expectations.
- Assisting in the implementation of our UK Mobility asset management strategy and Highways asset management strategy, while also contributing to the enhancement of our Global capabilities, particularly regarding the application of international asset management standards (e.g., ISO suite) and risk/performance-based maintenance advisory.
- Managing client relationships and stakeholder interactions, both internally and externally, to foster positive outcomes for all parties involved.
- Engaging with the market, providing thought leadership, and identifying future opportunities for Arcadis to enhance value and expand our Asset Management team and offerings.
- Leading and supporting cross-business line proposals for asset management opportunities.
- Promoting and marketing all aspects of the company's services during client interactions and in general.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in developing comprehensive asset management solutions for the transportation sector, addressing strategic, tactical, and operational challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, the formulation of asset management strategies, policies, lifecycle plans, asset risk assessments, operations and maintenance planning, decision support tools, and asset data quality evaluations.
- Experience working with end markets such as strategic and local highways, either as a client or in a consultancy capacity. While experience in the highways sector is preferred, candidates with backgrounds in rail and aviation will also be considered.
- Strong understanding and familiarity with industry standards and best practices, including ISO principles and GFMAM methodology.
- Experience in tender management and bid processes.
- Solid understanding of risk management methodologies (e.g., FMECA, Bow Tie, Fishbone).
- Experience in utilizing or developing decision support tools to inform asset management decisions.
- Progressing towards Chartered status or membership in a Professional Institution (e.g., IAM).
