Key Responsibilities- Procure and expedite components used across an F1 car, ensuring quality, cost, and lead time are considered, and all risks to the business are mitigated.
- Inform relevant stakeholders within the business of any delays or issues within the supply chain, ensuring the ERP system is updated to reflect expected delivery dates.
- Ensure suppliers selected can meet all specifications and quality standards defined by AMF1 design.
- Support the Direct Procurement Manager with sourcing strategy and planning, focusing on reducing lead-times, increasing agility, delivery performance, and achieving best value.
- Support the Direct Procurement Manager in the day-to-day running of the Direct Procurement team and take ownership of key projects.
- Lead by example and set the benchmark in all departmental KPIs, processes, and behaviors for other team members to follow.
- Onboard new suppliers in conjunction with the Supplier Quality Team to enhance the supply chain capability and capacity.
- Work proactively, responsibly, and professionally, always respecting and complying with the company's reporting structure.
- Possess good overall knowledge of Formula One or similar component procurement with an excellent working knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes.
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and clearly describe practical solutions.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as IFS, D365, or similar.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, and Power BI.
- Be self-motivated and motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
- Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
- Communicate effectively, positively, and respectfully with all colleagues.
- Have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
